In a first round doubles match at Wimbledon in 1985, Jan Gunnarsson and Michael Mortensen defeated John Frawley and Victor Pecci 6–3, 6–4, 3–6, 7–6(24).[1]

Roger Federer and Marat Safin played a tiebreaker that lasted 26 minutes in the semifinals of the 2004 Tennis Masters Cup in Houston. Federer won the match 6–3, 7–6(18).[2]
John McEnroe and Björn Borg played a tiebreaker in the finals of Wimbledon in 1980. The tiebreaker lasted over 20 minutes and McEnroe won with 18-16. Borg eventually won the match 1–6, 7–5, 6–3, 6–7(16), 8–6.[3]
Maria Kirilenko won a second set tiebreaker over Samantha Stosur in the 2011 US Open, but eventually lost the match 2–6, 7–6(15), 3–6.
Philipp Petzschner won the first set tiebreaker 16–14 over Jan Martl during their first round matchup at the 2011 Internazionali Tennis Val Gardena Südtirol. Petzschner won the match in straight sets 7–6 (14), 6–3.
Novak Djokovic won the first set tiebreaker 16–14 over Alexandr Dolgopolov during their fourth round matchup at the 2011 US Open. Djokovic won the match in straight sets 7–6 (14), 6–4, 6–2.
Max Mirnyi and Daniel Nestor won the second set tiebreaker 17–15 over František Čermák and Filip Polášek during their second round matchup at the 2011 BNP Paribas Masters. They won the match 6–1, 7–6 (15)
